Instalation Nessus for backtrack 5

       Nessus is a scanning software, which can be used to audit the security of a system, such as vulnerability, misconfiguration, security patches that have not been applied, the default password, and denial of serviceNessus function for monitoring network traffic. Proses instalation :

1.open terminal download nessus

apt-get install nessus

2. search http://www.nessus.org/register/ to register nessus

3. registration (name and email) nessus




4. open email to activation ( input code of the Linux and Solaris activasion Users) and input to terminal


/opt/nessus/bin/nessus-fetch --register E294-D6D1-B3DA-1FB2-F8C1

5. create new user and password to entry nessus

nessus-adduser

6. hidupkan nessus

/etc/init.d/nessusd start

7. Start nessus Scan

Scan -> add

Name (name scan)
Type (type scan)
policy (which will be scanned) Scan Target (ip or terget scan)
broser (data scan)
*after the scan is complete then launch scan
